Product Description

Tired of running out of storage space while editing? The Accusys A08S4-PS is here to solve your problem. It's an 8-bay tower from the ExaSAN Family, designed for those who don't want to splurge on a second storage device. With the A08S4-PS, you can expand your storage as needed. This system uses PCIe 3.0 technology, providing high bandwidth and performance. It can reach transfer speeds of up to 1500 MB/s, perfect for solo editing. You can also expand it with up to 3 JBODs, increasing the capacity to 320 Terabytes if required. The A08S4-PS is compatible with Windows, Linux, and MAC. Use the C1M adapter to convert the PCIe channel to Thunderbolt 3.0 and connect it to your MAC easily. Technical details include an 8-bay tower RAID system, PCIe 3.0 host interface, 32 Gb/s data transfer rate, support for SAS/SATA disks, and various RAID levels. It has a 2G DDRIII 1866 cache with ECC protection and can operate in temperatures from 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. Management is made easy with a Java-based RADIGuard X GUI, event log saving, email notifications, and LED indicators. It comes with a 400W power supply (single or redundant) and two 12cm fans with smart control. The dimensions are L:369mm, W:175mm, H:394.6mm, and it weighs 13.64kg (30 lbs).

Using the Accusys A08S4-PS is straightforward. First, make sure it's placed in an area with proper ventilation as it has an operating temperature range of 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. Connect it to your computer using the appropriate interface. For MAC users, use the C1M adapter to convert the PCIe channel to Thunderbolt 3.0. When it comes to storage expansion, you can add up to 3 JBODs as your needs grow. This allows you to increase the capacity significantly if you use 10TB HDDs. For maintenance, keep an eye on the LED indicators on the front of the device. They show the status of the RAID and disk drives. You can also check the event log saved in a text file for quick troubleshooting. The system sends email notifications for important events, so make sure your email settings are configured correctly. Remember to operate the device within the specified humidity range of 5% - 85% non - condensing. And don't forget to regularly monitor the disk health using the built - in S.M.A.R.T feature. With proper use and maintenance, your A08S4-PS will serve you well for a long time.
