Product Description
The Adaptive Technologies 5/16 Inch Jaw-to-Jaw Turnbuckle is a versatile load-rated device. It's ideal for tensioning, with one end having a reversed thread. When placed between two objects in its fully extended state, simply rotate the housing to shorten the component. This pulls the threaded arms in, adding extra tension to the system, like between two anchored wire rope assemblies. It also works great as a leveling tool for overhead truss and grids. Its clevis fittings can easily accommodate wire rope assemblies, rigging chain, and other closed end devices.
Using this turnbuckle is easy. First, place it between the two objects you want to connect in its fully extended position. Then, rotate the housing to shorten the turnbuckle and add tension to the system. For leveling, just adjust it until the overhead truss or grid is in a level attitude. When using, make sure the turnbuckle is properly attached to the objects. Check the connections regularly to ensure they are tight. As for maintenance, keep it clean and dry. If it gets dirty, you can use a mild detergent and a soft cloth to clean it. Avoid using harsh chemicals as they may damage the turnbuckle.
