Using the Ubiquiti Wave Long - Range PtMP station is easy. First, unpack the box and find the Wave Long - Range Access Point, Mounting Kit, PoE Adapter, and Quick Start Guide. Use the Mounting Kit to install the access point on a pole with an outer diameter between 1 to 3 inches (25 to 76.2 mm). Connect the PoE Adapter to power the device. Make sure the power supply voltage is within the supported range of 44–54V DC or 22–27V DC. When using it, keep in mind that it has a maximum range of over 8 km, so place it in a suitable location for long - distance connectivity. The device has an integrated GPS, which can help with better signal management through the Wave AI technology. Regarding maintenance, since it has a weatherproof design (IPX6), it can withstand outdoor conditions. But still, periodically check the device for any signs of physical damage. Keep it away from extreme temperatures outside the - 40 to 60°C (-40 to 140°F) range and humidity levels outside 5 to 95% non - condensing. If you need to reset the device, use the factory reset button. And always follow the local regulatory requirements for the operating frequency (57–71 GHz) of the device.
