Using the Ubiquiti AirMAX NanoStation 5AC Loco wireless radios is straightforward. First, use the included pole-mounting kit to install the radios in your desired outdoor location. Make sure to connect the networking interface to your network using the GbE RJ45 port. You'll need a 24V, 0.3A gigabit PoE supply (not included) to power the radios, and the supported voltage range is 22–27V DC. When it comes to installation, choose a spot where the radios have a clear line of sight for the best long-range performance. Keep in mind that these radios are designed for outdoor use, and their UV-stabilized plastic enclosures can handle harsh conditions and extreme temperatures from -40 to 70° C. However, try to avoid exposing them to direct water for long periods. For maintenance, you can occasionally wipe the enclosures with a clean, dry cloth to keep them dust-free. Also, check the LEDs regularly. The power LED should be on, and the Ethernet and signal strength LEDs will give you an idea of the network status. If you encounter any issues, refer to the technical specifications or contact Ubiquiti support.
