Using this Ubiquiti Outdoor PoE Converter is quite simple. First, connect the PoE in port to a 48V DC, 0.5A power source. Then, connect your 24V passive PoE device to the PoE out port. Make sure all connections are secure. When installing outdoors, find a place that is protected from direct harsh weather as much as possible, even though it is weatherproof. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures outside the -30 to 70°C (-22 to 158°F) range for long periods. For maintenance, regularly check the connections for any signs of wear or looseness. If there are any issues with power delivery or performance, first check the power source and the connections. Keep the converter clean by gently wiping it with a dry cloth.
