Product Description
The Fiberplex LightViper DMX4o is an accessory for the LightViper Series 32. It's not a stand - alone product and must be connected to an existing LightViper Series 32 system. This unit enables you to send 4 universes of DMX lighting control from FOH to Stage, or 3 universes of lighting control plus Yamaha HA control. DMX connections can be made via 3 - pin or 5 - pin XLR, and the Yamaha head amp control uses a DB9 connector. It connects to the LightViper Series 32 via the rear panel EtherCon connector, and power comes from this connection. Each unit has an LED sync indicator: solid green means sync is present, off means no sync or the unit is off. Key features include transporting DMX lighting and Yamaha HA remote control with audio data on the LightViper Series 32, having 4 3 - pin and 4 5 - pin XLR connectors, and being designed for use with LightViper systems. Technical specs show it operates at 0 to +50°C, has an RJ45 link indicator, and has specific power and current ratings, with dimensions of 1 Rack Unit X 6.5' (165mm) deep and a packed weight of 9 lbs (4 Kg).
Using the Fiberplex LightViper DMX4o is easy. First, make sure it's connected to an existing LightViper Series 32 system via the rear panel EtherCon connector. This is also how the unit gets its power. For DMX connections, you can use either 3 - pin or 5 - pin XLR connectors as needed. If you're using Yamaha HA control, connect it via the DB9 connector. When you power it on, check the LED sync indicator. A solid green light means the unit is synced and working properly. If it's off, there might be a sync issue or the unit is not powered correctly. As for maintenance, keep it in an environment with an ambient temperature between 0 and +50°C. Avoid exposing it to extreme heat or cold. Also, check the RJ45 link regularly. A green LED indicates the link is okay, a red one means there's a problem, and an off LED means there's no power. If you notice any issues, make sure to check the connections first.
