Product Description
Kramer's C-D9F/OPEN-25 control cable is a great choice for RS-232 applications in professional AV systems. Many Kramer products can be controlled via RS-232 and come with a terminal block connector. This 25-feet cable safely connects these devices, transmitting RS-232 serial commands to touch-screen systems, PCs, or other serial controllers with a D9 connector. It's built with high-quality materials, using three 28AWG isolated conductors. One end has a molded female 9-pin D-sub connector that's nickel-plated, while the other end is open and non-terminated. Key features include a pinout wired pin to pin on pins 2, 3 & 5, molded strain relief, stripped and tinned wires at the open end, RoHS compliance, and a varied selection of lengths from 3 to 50ft (1 to 15m).
Using the Kramer C-D9F/OPEN-25 cable is easy. First, check your device to make sure it has a terminal block connector for RS-232 control. Connect the nickel-plated molded female 9-pin D-sub connector end of the cable to the device with a D9 connector, like a touch-screen system or a PC. Then, attach the open end of the cable to the device with the terminal block connector. When handling the cable, be gentle with the connectors to avoid damage. Also, don't bend the cable too sharply. To maintain the cable, keep it away from sharp objects and excessive heat. Regularly check the connectors for any signs of wear or corrosion. If you need a different length, Kramer offers cables ranging from 3 to 50 feet (1 to 15 meters).
