Product Description
Liberty's latest data cable is a unique design. The shield is fully covered with non-conductive Mylar and there's no drain wire. This format has been around for some time. Originally, it was made to reduce cable diameters for UTP Cat6A 10G Networking. It also helps in both Data and HDBaseT(R) runs by eliminating ground loop problems. If you've noticed transmitters going bad often in HDBaseT runs, that's a sign of a ground loop. Using this 'NCS' version instead of a shielded cable gets rid of the ground loop without adding junctions or patch solutions. Also, you can use cheaper unshielded (UTP) jacks and plugs with this cable. It comes in both Plenum and Riser rated formats, so you can solve your grounding issues with this new Liberty cable. Key features include 23 AWG solid bare copper conductors, fluoropolymer insulation, varying lay twisted pairs on a common axis, a fully encapsulated poly/foil/poly binder, a plenum rated polyvinyl chloride jacket, third - party (UL, ETL) certification to Category 6A performance, full certification to 500 MHz, and NEC CMP and CEC CMP FT6 ratings, plus it's RoHS compliant.
Using this cable is straightforward. First, make sure to check the length you need as it comes in a 1000 - feet reel. When setting up for Data or HDBaseT(R) runs, connect the cable to your devices. Since it can use cheaper unshielded jacks and plugs, you don't have to worry about getting expensive shielded ones. For installation, it's suitable for both Plenum and Riser rated areas. Just follow the normal cable installation procedures. As for maintenance, keep it away from sharp objects that could cut the cable. If you notice any signs of damage like exposed wires, replace the cable right away. This cable is certified to high standards, so you can trust its performance as long as you take proper care of it.
