Product Description

The mLogic mRack Thunderbolt LTO-7 Dual with Hedge Canister is a game - changer for data archiving. It allows you to effortlessly connect LTO - 7 technology to portable, desktop, and all - in - one computers with Thunderbolt connectivity. It's that simple, another mLogic innovation! LTO tape offers over 30 years of shelf - life and is more reliable and cost - effective than spinning disks and solid - state drives. This makes mRack the top choice for long - term digital media protection. Key features include a 1U rack - mountable enclosure with single or dual LTO - 7 tape drives, suitable for desktops, standard 19” racks, or DIT carts. Each tape cartridge has a 6 TB native storage capacity. With a data transfer rate of up to 300MB/second, it can read and write to LTO 6 & 7 tapes and read LTO 5 tapes. It's compatible with leading backup and archiving software. The dual Thunderbolt 3 ports enable daisy - chaining of Thunderbolt peripherals, and the dual - drive version can write to two LTO - 7 drives at the same time. It works on both macOS and Windows systems.

Using the mLogic mRack Thunderbolt LTO - 7 Dual is easy. First, connect it to your computer with Thunderbolt connectivity. If you're using a desktop, you can place it on your desk. For more organized setups, it can be mounted in a standard 19” rack or a DIT cart. Once connected, use your preferred backup and archiving software to start storing your data. When inserting a tape cartridge, make sure it's properly aligned. Remember that LTO tapes have a long shelf - life of over 30 years, but it's still a good idea to keep them in a cool, dry place. To maintain the device, clean the tape drives regularly according to the manufacturer's instructions. Also, ensure that your backup software is up - to - date for the best performance. And don't forget, this product is compatible with both macOS and Windows, so you can use it across different systems.
